Beningbrough Hall Details

I'm not sure if I've talked about my Canon EOS 750 before have I? Not to be confused with an EOS 750D though - this baby is all film. I can't even remember how much I paid for this little gem now but I found it in a charity shop early last year (or late 2013 maybe?) and then left it alone in our house for most of last year after taking a test roll of film.

However this year its the only camera I've really wanted to pick up. With everything going on in real life - all I've wanted from my photography is for it to be easy and simple - and this camera is so easy and simple enough for an SLR camera that you still have enough control on the final image but you don't necessarily have to worry about all the details. Right now, this camera is exactly what I need and I've been so pleased with the results too.

The lovely Siobhan shared a lovely post today about her iPhone portraits and how the best camera is the one you have on you - and its so true - you don't need an all singing, all dancing, fully manual camera to get the best photos - you need the camera that works for you and with you when you need it.

Right now I'm not feeling my Zenit or OM-10 - but I necessarily don't want as simple as a toy camera (although it is Holga week next week, which I'll talk about soon) so my Canon EOS 750 is a happy medium which gives me results like these photos above.  It also looks enough like a digital camera that I don't get so many funny looks walking around with it as well ha.

What camera do you love at the moment? Is it the same as perhaps 6 months ago? Let me know.
