Forgotten photos: Holkham Hall

More re edited photos from the beginning of my scanning journey. Some of them are still a little bit yellower than I would have liked but overall, I'm so much happier with these than I was a year and a half ago, especially as I think they have some lovely details and moments captured in them.

Holkham Hall Details

I'm still so drawn to black and white photos at the moment - it usually happens during winter when everything seems to become much less saturated and mute - black and white film just captures the mood so well of that I think.

Saying that, these photos are from September - and it was an unusually sunny September day too - but they still capture the mood well I think :)

I particularly love that last photo - I'm not sure why really, I think perhaps that the book looks so soft, like you could stroke the pages and know what it feels like maybe?

Harry Mungus

I have no idea how this nickname came about for Harry or even how it stuck, but it has and now I call him it fairly often. I don't think he really cares what you call him luckily as long as you give him attention or even better, feed him.

Most of this walk was spent as most of his walks on the beach are spent - searching for the perfect stone to bring home with him. Once he's got it, he holds onto it for dear life (though his head is turned by a biscuit if you time it right...). You can just see that he did manage to find one eventually in the last photo, phew!
