Single Frame: Sitting in the Sunshine

Blogging and photography have always been weaved together as a process for me - especially as I started blogging before I took photos with film again. So I think subconsciously, I always took a group of photos together to tell a story, to bring them together here to share with you guys in a collective way that conveyed my whole experience.

However, this year, that has shifted away - and inspired by Jim (I'm going to keep mentioning until you all click through and enjoy Jim's blog as much as I do haha) and his single frame series, I've started sharing my single frames here and thoroughly enjoying stand alone photos for the experience that they are.

Gosh I wish I was sitting in the sunshine like this now too! The weather here is cold and although I love winter photos too - I sure do miss the warm sunshine on my skin.

After I shared my last komorebi post l I did exactly what I said I would and I went to take some photos of trees. I love the sunshine!

I learnt a new word today (lots in fact) and it means

"light that filters through the trees"

Today I really want to go out and take more photos of trees in the sunshine.
I've missed that feeling so much.

Also today I got discharged from my therapy sessions which feels awesome.
I've missed that feeling so much too.

It also feels surreal especially now I know that this is really only the tip of the iceberg in my fight, in my recovery, in my progress... but now I feel like I have better skills to cope and hopefully, I can keep doing my best and keep fighting moment by moment and day by day.

And tomorrow... I think I'll go take some photos of trees.
