Single Frame: Leeds Festival 2016

I’ve been slowly updating my Flickr page now that I’m paying for it and that means basically uploading all my photos from 2016 onwards - I got super lazy with Flickr once I could start using the stacked galleries here on Squarespace. The plus side of having to go through all my photos is that I keep finding photos that I had completely forgotten about - like this one of a ride at Leeds Festival when we went in 2016.

Edinburgh Little Details

It’s been nearly a whole year since we were in Edinburgh so I’m a bit late sharing these. But I got round to it, and thats what matters.

I’ve been struggling a little with a couple of these where the main object I wanted in focus isn’t - and I’ve been trying to decide if that detracts from them as a final result. The skull grave (an intended nod to my interwebs friend Dianne) isn’t in focus - yet the ivy behind it is - and once I start looking at the ivy I kind of get sucked into the textures and reflections of light… and almost forget the grave stone is there. Not my intention… but I think I like it. What do you think?

I’ve totally forgotten the name of the dog statue - I’ll have to look it up and update this (at some point ha) but I loved it!

Edit: I looked it up and its Bum the dog. Bum!! How could I forget that?! Anyway, Bum the St Bernard Spaniel cross is from San Diego and San Diego is a twin city of Edinburgh apparently.

Some photos... finally!

I’ve been feeling quite wordy, so thank you for indulging me in my last few posts. I’m still surprised that I had so much to say about the death of my second Grandad to die - but it felt right to share it. So I’m glad I did.

Anyway, I didn’t take that many photos in 2018, which I am sad about - but the ones I did take, I’m pretty thrilled with! Look at all these lovely details. Swoon!

Do you have a film photography aim this year? My aim for 2019 is 1 roll of film a month - that seems achievable I think. I’m already most of the way through one roll of film in a camera I received as part of the Emulsive Secret Santa this year.

More yellow

I never get bored of yellow. I must have loads of photos like this but I still take them, they make me happy. Hurray yellow!

These photos were also taken whilst walking up and around Arthur's Sear. I sucessfully took zero photos of the view with this camera haha.
