Boats!

So I’m predictable… I know that… you probably know that by now. There are things I just take photos of when I see them - and boats - for some reason - is one of them.

I’ve so neglected my blog lately that these are from the beginning of 2018 - from even before we went to Edinburgh. I’m a little ashamed… but mostly excited because I actually have loads of photos to share with you now. Hopefully you’re excited too.

These were taken in Norfolk and they’re making me a little bit homesick. With my new term for Uni coming up soon, I’m not actually sure when I’ll get to go home - though we did have a longer visit during the Summer which was lovely. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later though.

Edinburgh little details

What can I say, I’m a sucker for a lovely window and some fencing…

We meet again...

Last year we went on a little trip to Edinburgh - one of my favourite places in the world - though it feels like it was much longer ago to be honest. However I was reminded of our little visit when I got some photos back recently and there were some photos I’d totally forgotten taking there.

When I looked at these two photos I was absolutely sure that I’d taken them before. And after a root around in my archives I finally found the photo below taken with my Diana Mini in 2010!!

Isn’t it funny how I took almost exactly the same photo 8 years later, without even realising. It’s actually making me miss the square format of the Diana Mini - maybe I should use it again now I have my own scanner…

#believeinwaterfalls

A little while ago there was some discussion about waterfalls (hence the title of this post) and rather amusingly for me - it was also the time that we visited the village with the highest concentration of waterfalls in the UK - Keld. Within one kilometre there are 9 significant waterfalls and luckily for us there is public access to 6 of them! The village itself is really small and quaint and at the time it had snowed however that didn’t stop us from catching the local bus to the village and trying to see as many of the waterfalls as we could.

In the end we saw 4 of the 6 close up and saw the other two from a distance, the conditions after the snow and ice were just a little too risky for the two we didn’t see - but the walk and other waterfalls more than made up for it. I would highly recommend the waterfall walk in Keld if you’re ever in the area.
