Marjan Forest Park Part II

On our last day in Split we spent part of the afternoon/evening having our last walk around the park. The sun was golden and shone through the teas beautifully and I'm really glad I had my camera there to capture it.

Connections in life are as delicate as flowers and just as powerful - they don't need labels or definitions - they just are. And even the most fleeting of connections, the sound of a tiny heartbeat, an email across the world, a 140 character tweet or a quick squeeze of hand can have a lasting affect  and not only on those involved.

This post is dedicated to a little boy who didn't make it into the world, his life was fleeting and as delicate as a flower and yet his impact has created ripples of love that are spreading the world.  

So please, never underestimate any of your connections in life, even if they are with people you may never meet in person - they may be the strongest connections you ever make and don't underestimate your importance in the world either - the smallest of drops can create the biggest ripples xxx

Marjan Forest Park Part I

I can imagine that there will be a number of posts with photos of the Marjan Forest Park as these were just the first photos that I took of many.  Nikola - who we rented the studio from - told us on our first day that the park was mostly used by locals rather than tourists and we were surprised to find that it was true. Especially as if you look on a map at Split - the park takes up the whole of the west side of the Peninsula! In fact it was one of the main reasons that we wanted to go.

A lot of tourists in Split are missing out on an amazing place to visit don't you think?

Around our studio apartment...

Although we researched where we were going to stay fairly well, we were still surprised by how great the location we had for our studio* was. Located between the Old Town and the Marjan Forest Park, we wound around the tiny streets of Split every day and I loved all the little details we saw.

I particularly loved the fish mural, the terracotta roofs and I may have quite a few more photos of palm trees still to share too - I didn't quite get over the novelty of those haha.
